Deepening our support package for bursary families

£15,282 has been raised from 71 donors.

Don’t have long? Here are the highlights:

  • We are committed being an inclusive school, accessible to children from all backgrounds. Thanks in part to donor support, 94 students currently hold a bursary place at Highgate, with most receiving awards that cover 90-100% of their fees.
  • We want to make sure that Highgate is a place where every child can thrive, regardless of economic circumstances. This can only be true if we provide genuine equality of educational opportunity for all children here.
  • You can help make sure that bursary recipients can access all aspects of life at Highgate by supporting a bursary support package, including a uniform grant, educational trips and visits fund, support with transport costs and the technology requirements that are now so vital. A bursary support package will also grant access to a fully enriched Highgate education, beyond the classroom, through fully-funded instrumental music lessons and other co-curricular opportunities.

We are committed being an inclusive school, accessible to children from all backgrounds. Thanks in part to donor support, 94 students currently hold a bursary place at Highgate, with most receiving awards that cover 90-100% of their fees. This benefits not only those children in receipt of a bursary, but also the entire school, by increasing the economic and social diversity present in our classrooms and ensuring that pupils can form lifelong friendships with children of all backgrounds, not just their own.

We are particularly delighted to have successfully introduced means-tested fee assisted places, bursaries, in our Junior School in September 2022, to have a greater and transformative impact on children’s learning and lives. The continued growth of our Junior School bursary provision was made possible by donor support during our last Giving Day: two children will be able to take up places in the Junior School thanks to funds raised last year.

Recipients of bursaries in the Junior School will receive awards that cover 50-100% of their fees, for the duration of their time at Highgate through to the end of sixth form, ensuring that this life-changing opportunity is accessible for all.

We want to make sure that Highgate is a place where every child can thrive, regardless of economic circumstances. Your gift could help bursary recipients at Highgate thrive and make the most of the transformational experience an education at Highgate can be. Thank you.
